Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?
The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").

Surprising sound from an inexpensive speaker
I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of these speakers. I bought two pair to mount under the bench seats in my Boston Whaler 13 Sport and am powering them with the Boss Audio MGR350B head unit. The speakers themselves feel well made given the price point. I was a bit concerned about low end bass because of the advertised frequency response (80hz) and size of the woofer (4"), but because I basically have them mounted in an echo chamber, the bass resonates throughout the boat is more than adequate. Mids and highs are crisp and are not tinny. I can crank up the volume and get no distortion, which I thought was shocking for cheap speakers. For the money, I am more than pleased with the quality of sound these little units pump out. There are really two downfalls to these speakers. The brackets are steel, so they are prone to rust. I spray painted them with black paint in hopes that will offer more protection. Also, the grills are steel and are not removable. I...

The speakers sound good, but they did not come with the thumb screws that attach them to the bracket. After some go around with Boss customer service a great person in the parts department made it right and got me the thumb screws.
