California Prop 65 Warning

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.

There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.

Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?

The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").

Easy Swap

Bought this as a replacement for a 625UAB I put in less than 18 months ago. That one died. After pulling the unit out I examined the fuse in the back of the unit. The fuse was actually melted but not blown. That has me scratching my head. Luckily there was no damage to anything but the stereo. Oh well. Simply slid the unit out and slid this in it's place. So far everything sounds great. Bluetooth phone connection has great voice clarity. Installed in a 97 Honda CRV. Hope the problem with the other one was a "One off". Would have been 5 stars but took one off for quality concern.

Great Stereo!

I installed this very easily by removing the factory radio on my Honda Civic 2000 LX Sedan. The hardest part was to remove the radio, installing the stereo was a breeze and it sounds great. I connected both iPhone 6s/iPhone 5s and the audio quality on the calls is very good. The folks on the other side of the call said they could clearly hear me. Overall a great buy for the price.

Elite 460BRGB

Overall I like this Elite 460BRGB. I installed it in my 2008 Chevy Cobalt after the factory buttons started to not function properly and the front speakers were totally gone. Now I can here clicking sounds when I use my directional signals and other chimes can be heard as the vehicle uses the factory radio for their audio. One issue that I have encountered is one selector button gets stuck in intermittently and I need to use a fine flathead screwdriver or my nail to pull it out. the out concern I have is when driving at night, when it is very dark, the display flashes the equalizer output constantly. This affects my eyes and is somewhat annoying(like having the interior like on). I understand it might be a cool effect but it would be great to be able to have a way to switch it off. I plan to tape over it with possibly black electrical tape or the tinted marine cover that Boss sells for $20.

Great sound!

I just installed this unit in a 2002 F150. With a little EQ setting tweaks it sounds great even with original factory speakers. Bluetooth phone connection has great voice clarity.
