California Prop 65 Warning

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.

There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.

Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?

The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").

I bought the Boss PT1000 Phantom Amp specifically to drive 2 Boss NX694 6x9's. It's a seriously wicked cool combo ! Crystal clear perfection. Great bass. Great value for any price. This is a quality built amp and the back light looks awesome. I highly recommend this amp. UPDATE : Newer truck-new system. Boss 508UAB Head Unit, Boss NX654 Door speakers-Boss P69.4C Rear speakers- Boss AVA1210 7 band Equalizer- TWO Boss PT1000 Phantom Amps and 2 SSL SLR8 Dual Voice Coil Subs. AMAZING ! I'm a BOSS Audio and SSL fan for life ! Crystal Clear- You will feel like you are AT THE CONCERT-FRONT ROW CENTER !

Good for two 10's or one 12 under normal conditions. Get a bigger Amp if you want it to hit longer and harder.

I've had it for about seven months now. It's hooked up to a boss 2.2 capacitor, and a Alpine 12 type R sub 4 ohms. When I have the volume up for an hour I lost my bump . Two weeks ago I put another 12 (pioneer with a short box) and after an 1 hour the amp must have over heated. Lost base again. Hot to touch. It's good for a 12 under normal conditions, but if you like it bumping for a long period of time I would get a bigger Amp. The remote volume control comes in handy. For the days that you don't want a headache.
